Dedicated to Life
“I was about to send this to press when COVID-19 abruptly pulled us into a new age. Art made before the rupture suddenly looks different, flickering with new meanings and demeanings. My book seemed to shift colors in my hands.”
Dedicated to Life gathers recent writing by Seth Price, as well as excerpts, pieces and ruins from a novel he worked on, and abandoned, some years ago. A “personal, affectual prehistory of the Trump era,” as he puts it, it is a fascinating read, between a fake/real memoir, a neogonzo account of the early twenty-first century in NYC, supplemented by bits of poetry and cartoons.
