Judgement Day

It looks like a thick, juicy romance novel, but it's actually a collection of brushy, ephemeral, fin-de-siecle-esque paintings by the young German artist Sophie von Hellermann. Currently based in London, she recently exhibited at Greene Naftali Gallery in New York and Mark Foxx gallery, Los Angeles. [publisher's note]
